Description:

As a Physiotherapist I, your role will involve delivering therapeutic interventions that empower clients to attain optimal physical function and independence in various contexts, including developmental issues, chronic conditions, and functional decline. You will provide a comprehensive range of interventions, including prevention, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, and case management, while actively involving clients and their families as key participants in their care journey.

Collaboration is essential; you will work alongside patients and their families to determine, implement, and assess suitable rehabilitation approaches. Participation in interprofessional teams will be a regular part of your work, aimed at enhancing awareness, improving support systems, and engaging in quality enhancement initiatives. You will also contribute to the professional community through peer mentoring and may oversee the clinical practice of Therapy Assistants and Provisional Physiotherapists.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution and current registration with the relevant regulatory body.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Strong teaching abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in computer applications are essential. The successful candidate must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting and transferring patients. Experience in managing musculoskeletal conditions within a rehabilitation context is required, along with proof of active registration with the relevant physiotherapy college.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in pediatric rehabilitation within a multidisciplinary framework is preferred. Familiarity with electronic medical records and integrated care systems is considered advantageous.
