Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist III to join our team at LexisNexis Canada Inc. Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced machine learning models with a focus on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) models for various NLP tasks, including text classification, sentiment analysis, and named entity recognition.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RAG and BERT models into production systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Conduct experiments to evaluate model performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements, leveraging expertise in machine learning and NLP.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of NLP and machine learning, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Document methodologies, processes, and findings to support knowledge sharing and reproducibility, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented code, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines, ensuring efficient data processing and storage.
  • Work closely with product managers to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet customer needs.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Python, with expertise in machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • Strong understanding of NLP concepts, including text preprocessing, tokenization, and sentiment analysis.
  • Experience with BERT and other transformer-based models, including training and deployment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
