Position Overview

The Institutional Cook plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of nutritious and appealing meals within our organization. This position requires a commitment to high standards of food preparation and safety.

Employment Details
  • Work Term: Permanent

  • Experience: 2 to 3 years
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess food portion sizes and calculate costs effectively.
  • Design menus and estimate food requirements for execution.
  • Order food and kitchen supplies as necessary.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes.
  • Cook specialized meals for patients as directed by dietitians or chefs.
  • Instruct staff on food preparation, cooking, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and work areas.
