Math Teacher/Tutor Wanted

We are seeking a part-time math teacher/tutor to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. in North York Lawrence Plaza. As a math teacher/tutor, you will work directly with students to help them develop their math skills and build their confidence in mathematics.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach math to students at the high school level
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of individual students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to improve teaching skills
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math curriculum, particularly senior math and including, but not limited to Data Management, advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and vectors
