Employment Details

Qualifications

Education: A college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year.

Work Environment

This role is primarily based in a Nursing Home or Home for the Aged.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal hygiene and grooming of residents.
  • Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Support residents during meal times, including serving and feeding.
  • Assist in lifting, turning, and positioning residents as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of residents' living spaces.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
  • Transport residents safely using wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Collect medical specimens as required.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties and laundry tasks.
