Elementary Math Tutor Wanted

We are seeking a part-time Elementary Math Tutor to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. in Richmond Hill, ON.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach, teaching up to 2 or 3 students at a time at different levels. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of the current Grades 1-8 math curriculum and be able to guide students' understanding of Fractions, Integers, Decimals, and Geometry.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching up to 2 or 3 students at a time at different levels
  • Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Requirements:

  • University students with tutoring experience will be considered
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of the current Grades 1-8 math curriculum, but not limited to Fractions, Integers, Decimals, Geometry

Salary: $17 - $19 / hour
