Server Job Description

As a Server at Aspira Rosewood Retirement Living, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our residents. Your passion for providing excellent service and attention to detail will make a significant impact on our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow proper food handling techniques to ensure the highest quality of food service.
  • Store food properly, label, and date to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Keep work areas clean and clutter-free, completing scheduled cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Support all aspects of optimal food service, adhering to infection control, quality management, and legislative requirements.
  • Assist in meal preparation, serving, and clearing tables, following residents' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Take orders from residents, using their names and preferences to ensure personalized service.
  • Set and clear tables, washing and sanitizing equipment to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
Requirements:
  • Maintain a current Safe Food Handler's Certificate.
  • Be familiar with correct food service procedures and handling practices.
  • Operate institutional cooking equipment, such as dishwashers and meat slicers.
  • Have effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Pass a Vulnerable Sector Check (for Ontario applicants) or a Criminal Records Check (for British Columbia applicants).
