Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Inuvik Regional Hospital. As a LPN, you will provide culturally sensitive care to residents in our 25-bed Long Term Care unit.

About the Role

The LPN will work collaboratively with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Personal Support Workers to provide high-quality care to residents. You will be responsible for assessing resident needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating resident outcomes. You will also be required to act as the Responsibility Nurse when working nights or weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide culturally sensitive care to residents in the Long Term Care unit
  • Assess resident needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement care plans and evaluate resident outcomes
  • Act as the Responsibility Nurse when working nights or weekends
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a Licensed Practical Nursing Certificate and two years recent experience within a long-term care setting. You will also need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
