Instructor, Construction Engineering Technology Program

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced instructor to join our Construction Engineering Technology program. As a professor, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting classes in classroom and lab settings, organizing and supervising practical student assignments, and conducting student evaluation and maintaining progress records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality curriculum to meet the needs of our students
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to improve their performance
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure our program remains relevant and effective
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement program reviews and curriculum development
- Participate in activities such as NAIT's Open House and NAIT-related activities and committees
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Construction Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in construction project management and/or estimating with a general contracting firm or similar
- Strong background in the fundamentals of the Construction Engineering Technology program
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in structural and/or geotechnical engineering or soil mechanics would be an asset
