Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Canadian Tire - Lakeshore & Leslie (store #654). As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:
    • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and courteous manner
    • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Transaction Processing:
    • Operate a cash register and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
    • Handle customer payments and returns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Store Maintenance:
    • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor and cash area
    • Restock shelves and merchandise as needed
  • Teamwork:
    • Work collaboratively with other sales associates and store staff to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service
    • Participate in store meetings and training sessions to stay informed and up-to-date on company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: Previous retail sales experience an asset
  • Skills:
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
