Brunel is seeking a skilled Material Control Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate replenishment, receipt, and issuance of materials to end users. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload trucks and accurately receive stock, non-stock purchase orders, and inspect materials for defects and damages.
  • Maintain accurate material locations in SAP and distribute credit card orders received.
  • Perform daily Cycle Counts on inventory, investigate errors, and reconcile balances.
  • Provide fast, courteous service to end users requesting materials and ensure SAP system updates reflect usage.
  • Pick and stage materials for work orders/OWL and provide delivery of materials when required across the site.
  • Return unused materials to stock and collaborate with Customs Compliance to ship materials for site end users.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
  • Maintain Bulk storage/laydown/remote storage areas and rotate through various areas of the warehouse according to the established schedule.
  • Interface with Stakeholders, Procurement, and Expediting as required to assist with any troubleshooting.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education with a focus on Business, CITT, APICS, PMAC, or combined with proven warehouse experience (3-5 years) or High school with 5 years warehouse experience.
  • Strong computer/technology skills, Shipping and Receiving experience, and Forklift certification.
  • Ability to operate hand truck, pallet jack, and relevant warehouse equipment, and valid driver's license.
  • SAP experience an asset, and Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint experience.
  • Ability to lift 22.5kg and prioritize and organize tasks with attention to detail.
