About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Sunrise Senior Living. As a key member of our Dining Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety in our kitchens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve meals in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to established recipes and menus.
  • Inventory Management: Utilize production sheets to accurately record food production quantities and cooking, holding, and cooling temperatures.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, storage, and work areas, adhering to food safety standards and regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the Dining Services Coordinator and other team members to ensure seamless food production and service.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain all cooking equipment in a safe and working order, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain certifications and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience: One (1) year job-related experience in food preparation in a restaurant, hotel, or other similar environment.
  • Certifications: Maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, ServSafe Manager, and Local Health Department Food Handler Card.
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, ability to handle multiple priorities.
