About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Parkwood Associates Inc. as a key member of our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and designing water and waste management systems, as well as ensuring that construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Planning: Develop construction specifications and procedures, and ensure that construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations.
  • Project Management: Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirements.
  • Quality Control: Interpret, review and approve survey and civil design work.
  • Professional Development: Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association, and eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on water and waste management systems.
  • Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, and strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and strong communication skills. The work will be a mix of office and consulting engineering company settings.
