Job Overview
As a Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier with Canada Post, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growth-oriented organization. We are seeking dependable and organized individuals to deliver mail on an on-call basis to various communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Project a positive and courteous manner when interacting with customers
- Sort, collect, and deliver mail items in a safe and timely manner
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, including roads, customers, and delivery receptacles
- Ensure mail is safely secured in your possession
- Process various CPC products and services, including Change of Address Notification, Damaged Mail, and Items Delivered Bill
- Wear Canada Post identification while on delivery and ensure its visibility
- Lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg
- Have experience in making deliveries and operating a motor vehicle in various weather and traffic conditions
Requirements
- Have a satisfactory safe driving record
- Possess a valid Class 5 or Class G driver's licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years
- Have a minimum cargo capacity of 100 cu ft (2832 liters)
- Have a metal roof-top and accessory power outlet to accommodate a Canada Post sign and flashing light
- Have a fifth door/hatchback to allow for oversized and bulky items to be loaded
- Provide and maintain the required automobile liability insurance for the use of your vehicle
Selection Process
- Pass a pre-employment test and an interview
Additional Requirements
- Provide a current driver's abstract dated within the last 30 days

This position may be considered a Safety Sensitive position and has additional requirements under Canada Post's Substance Use Policy.
