Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Development Assessment: Evaluate children's progress to create personalized learning plans that cater to their individual needs.
  • Supportive Environment: Collaborate with colleagues in maintaining cleanliness and preparing meals.
  • Care for Infants: Provide essential care including bathing, diapering, and feeding for infants and toddlers.
  • Program Development: Design and implement educational programs that enhance the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all daycare equipment is well-maintained and safe for use.
  • Storytelling and Activities: Engage children through storytelling, music, and creative activities.
  • Communication: Regularly update parents on their child's progress and any concerns.
  • Creative Expression: Encourage children to express themselves through various forms of art, music, and play.
  • Health and Safety: Observe children for any signs of developmental or behavioral issues and document findings appropriately.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other educators and community service providers to support children's development.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a College or CEGEP program in Early Childhood Education.
  • Certification as a member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
