Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Shiso Japanese Restaurant LTD. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment for our staff.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and sanitation.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products and supplies in a safe and organized manner.
  • Assist with other kitchen duties as needed, such as cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and utensils.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and stand for long periods of time.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 30 to 40 hours per week. The language of work is English.
