The 4th Class Power Engineer and Facilities Technician at PHSA is integral to maintaining the operational integrity and safety of facilities and machinery. This position encompasses a variety of technical duties across disciplines such as HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and more. The role requires proficiency in operating, troubleshooting, and executing preventative maintenance on critical equipment including Air Handling Units, Mixing Boxes, Variable Air Volume systems, and emergency power systems.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage and sustain chillers, fluid systems, and air conditioning units
- Oversee and fine-tune physical plant and HVAC operations
- Conduct maintenance on heat exchangers and ventilation apparatus
- Evaluate and maintain chillers, pumps, and cooling towers
- Perform both electrical and mechanical repairs on various equipment
Required Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a 4th Class Power Engineer
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications
