Position Overview:

The City of New York is seeking a SCADA Support Specialist within the Bureau of Wastewater Treatment (BWT). This position entails the management and upkeep of all elements associated with the operational technology (OT) environment of our facilities. Key responsibilities include the oversight of monitoring and control apparatus such as Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and data communication devices.

  • Deliver consistent maintenance and assistance for the OT environment across facilities.
  • Set up, configure, and sustain monitoring and control systems.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot and rectify issues related to SCADA systems.

Essential Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant computer discipline and a minimum of two years of full-time experience in software-related roles. Proficiency in the design, programming, and maintenance of software applications, systems programming, or database architecture is required. Experience in computer operations or user support is not applicable for this position.
