The Manager of Sourcing Strategies (Indirect) will play a crucial role in achieving strong outcomes that align with the company's objectives, delivering substantial value to various business units. This role will involve collaboration across different departments within Holt Renfrew to foster teamwork, manage vendor relationships, and identify opportunities for value enhancement. In fulfilling these duties, the Indirect Procurement Manager will assist Holt Renfrew in developing and achieving strategic goals related to growth, cost efficiency, service quality, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to procure products and services utilizing established tools, methodologies, and analytics to drive business outcomes.
  • Work alongside internal clients to formulate and influence sourcing strategies tailored to specific projects.
  • Oversee sourcing activities with third-party partners, ensuring a transparent and impartial process.
  • Analyze sourcing results from a total cost of ownership perspective and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in negotiating value-driven agreements with vendor partners.
  • Enhance processes and contracting strategies.
  • Manage contracts effectively, partnering with legal and internal teams to mitigate risk exposure.
  • Lead vendor negotiations during sourcing events to help the organization achieve savings targets and other key performance indicators.
  • Facilitate strategic sourcing processes, including defining service-level agreements and launching requests for proposals.
  • Educate business units on the strategic sourcing process and initiatives.
  • Ensure effective sourcing strategies are in place for timely execution of initiatives.
  • Establish sourcing strategies for designated portfolios in collaboration with the business.
  • Assess supplier performance in partnership with the business.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • A degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in category-specific procurement, including sourcing, negotiation, and contracting, preferably within a retail context.
  • Understanding of operational performance drivers and cost factors, including service-level agreements and performance management.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective team relationships to achieve results.
  • Proven leadership capabilities and the ability to influence senior executives.
  • Adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity and change.
  • Proficient in analytical techniques and deriving insights from data.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated high performance in previous roles with increasing responsibilities.
  • Experience in program development, competitive bidding, vendor selection, and risk assessment.
  • Hands-on experience leading strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Experience managing projects, contracts, and vendor relationships.
