Job Summary:
Great Canadian Entertainment is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Cage Cashier to join our team at Shorelines Casino Belleville. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing cash transactions, and maintaining a safe and welcoming work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exceed guest expectations by providing outstanding customer service and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage cash transactions, including foreign currency exchange, traveler's cheques, short pays, over payments, cash counts, coins, and bills.
- Monitor and report all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities.
- Redeem value chips and gaming tickets for cash.
- Verify and process machine fills, machine jackpots, cancelled credits, as well as table fills and credits.
- Issue opening floats to Slot Attendants (or others); reconcile closing floats.
- Transfer and store floats, keys, and record-keeping documents.
- Document and reconcile transactions; may reconcile bank deposits and prepare revenue reports.
- Communicate effectively with all operational departments.
- Build strong working relationships with guests and employees.
- Comply with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
Requirements:
- People-focused and committed to service excellence.
- Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed.
- Secondary School Diploma; Post-secondary education an asset.
- Smart Serve certification required or willing to obtain.
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in high-volume cash handling.
