**Principal Full-stack Software Engineer - Java**

At Bitscopic Inc., we bring high definition to patient data, delivering actionable insights for Clinicians and empowering them with the knowledge to make better decisions. Our mission is to help providers achieve better care outcomes through these insights.

We are seeking a seasoned **Senior Full-stack Software Engineer** who is very comfortable and experienced with all parts of the stack, from writing HTML/CSS/javascript for the frontend to Java for the middle tier, and comfortable crafting PL/SQL queries to help us build and expand our products in healthcare analytics, bioinformatics, and infectious disease tracking.

The position is permanently remote, allowing you to work from anywhere. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and building large-scale, distributed, highly available, well-tested, and easily managed applications.
  • Draw from previous experience building highly scalable systems to influence and steer improvements within our distributed Engineering team.
  • Creating and managing new applications to power new product initiatives and expand web applications within our existing products and technology stack.

We require a candidate with:

  • 15+ years of experience writing understandable, testable, and efficient code using Java, Javascript (React), HTML, and CSS.
  • 15+ years of engineering experience with a good understanding of designing robust and scalable services.
  • Solid experience writing SQL code.
  • Previously worked in a small/startup environment juggling priorities, a fast-paced setting, and being a self-starter with clear communication around technical concepts and ideas to other engineers and the ability to talk to customers and other teams.
  • Experience with Javascript frameworks.
  • Experience with Oracle databases.
