About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Service Manager to join our team at Rona. As a key member of our merchandising team, you will play a critical role in shaping the customer experience by leading merchandising activities with precision and ensuring the optimal presentation of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee In-Store Merchandising Activities: Ensure a clean, safe, accessible, and appealing customer experience by overseeing in-store merchandising activities, projects, and services.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with deployment teams, field operations, and store managers to drive business results and achieve sales goals.
  • Project Management: Track priorities, deadlines, material needs, and project execution to ensure timely completion of merchandising projects.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise merchandising team members, assign projects, and reallocate tasks as needed to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Compliance and Quality Control: Verify compliance with planograms and merchandising standards to ensure consistency across all stores.
  • Store Performance: Evaluate resets and maintain store merchandise to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Merchandising Strategy: Identify and adapt merchandising needs specific to each store to drive business results and achieve sales goals.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and develop merchandising team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Performance Management: Manage performance, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions to ensure team members are meeting expectations.
  • Store Operations: Promote safety and maintenance standards in the store and oversee adherence to loss prevention and security policies.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in customer service/retail, or 1 year in a Rona store.
  • Team Management: 1 year of team management experience.
  • Merchandising: 1 year of merchandising experience, with skills in reading planograms and setting up/taking down displays.
  • Project Management: Project management experience.
  • Availability: Availability to work nights and weekends.
  • Operational Skills: Experience operating motorized equipment, an asset.
  • Practical Knowledge: Practical knowledge of basic hand tools, an asset.
