Job Title: Senior Building Energy Analyst

ICF is seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Energy Analyst to join our Energy Analytics practice. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services, typically working on multiple projects with all levels of staff.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in building energy efficiency, sustainability, and renewable energy. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of energy efficiency technologies, economic valuation, and utility cost-effectiveness tests. Experience with energy policy and regulation, especially related to Demand Side Management (DSM) and other distributed energy resources, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with energy efficiency, electrification, distributed energy resources, and decarbonization potential studies, program planning, advisory research and support, preparation of filings and other regulatory support for US and Canadian utilities and/or government agencies.
  • Develop and design innovative program strategies to promote energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Conduct market research on various energy efficiency technologies, including measure adoption, saturation, feasibility, etc.
  • Perform advanced energy saving calculations and economic analyses for the residential and commercial sectors supporting utility programs.
  • Oversee market research and development of industry expertise on innovative technologies.
  • Assist with business development activities, including writing proposals.
  • Evaluate and benchmark program performance.
  • Manage and analyze large datasets using advanced Excel functions.
  • Prepare and present persuasive presentations and reports.
  • Co-author reports and other client deliverables, journal articles, white papers, and marketing pieces.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with demonstrated interest and in sustainability, building energy efficiency, building science, and/or renewables, or related subjects.
  • 7+ years of related energy industry experience or academic equivalent that includes experience in energy consulting, energy management, building science, DSM program potential studies, regulatory support, DSM program design, and/or program implementation.
