About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at BNV Diesel Services Inc. as a key member of our maintenance crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Utilize technical expertise to detect faults and malfunctions in diesel engines and heavy equipment.
  • Diagnose and Repair: Employ computerized and other testing equipment to diagnose faults and determine the extent of repair required.
  • Adjust and Maintain: Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Test and Verify: Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturers' specifications and is in good working condition.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity of equipment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Work Conditions: The work environment is physically demanding and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in diesel mechanics or a related field.
  • Tools and Equipment: The ability to provide and maintain personal tools and equipment.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 35 hours per week.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
