Position Overview:
The Avon Maitland District School Board is actively seeking Secondary (Grades 9-12) Emergency Teacher Candidates to provide coverage for the daily absences of certified classroom educators. Candidates will be informed on the day of the vacancy if no certified teacher is available. This role is ideal for individuals currently pursuing their Bachelor of Education or those who are certified educators from other regions, including international candidates, who are in the process of obtaining certification.Required Qualifications:
Before commencing employment as an Emergency Supply Teacher Candidate with the AMDSB, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Education program leading to certification;
- Proficiency in both oral and written English is essential, as the AMDSB operates as an English Board.
