About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Special Loans to join our team at EightSix Network. As a key member of our Risk Management Unit, you will play a critical role in evaluating risks and irregularities, and developing turnaround strategies to manage high-risk large commercial accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Minimize loan losses, legal risks, and reputational risk for the organization
- Restore the profitability of accounts in financial difficulty
- Ensure rigorous account monitoring to maintain portfolio quality
- Participate in committees that require a high level of expertise and represent the organization with various stakeholders
- Minimize the volume of loans transferred to the impaired loan category
- Negotiate agreement conditions with various stakeholders
- Support and advise business lines and credit sector when managing special cases and/or special projects
About the Team
You will be part of a team of 23 colleagues, reporting to the Vice-President, Special Loans. Our team is known for its advanced knowledge of credit structuring and the legal environment, as well as its rigor and experience that contribute year over year to the organization's objectives.
Requirements
- University diploma and 10 years of relevant experience
- Solid knowledge of commercial loans and syndicated transactions
- Experience with bankruptcy and insolvency
- Experience with capital markets files, an asset
- Proven leadership when dealing with various stakeholders (other lenders, investors, and creditors, etc.)
- Strong negotiation skills
