Position Overview: We are currently seeking Labourers for our projects. This role involves essential tasks such as preparing and maintaining construction sites, transporting materials and equipment, and executing demolition, excavation, and compaction activities.

Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Foreman or Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unload and load construction materials, ensuring they are moved to appropriate work areas.
  • Set up and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Assist in placing and vibrating concrete.
  • Support tradespeople, including carpenters and cement finishers, in various construction tasks.
  • Level earth to meet precise grading specifications using tools such as rakes and shovels.
  • Participate in the demolition of structures using tools like prying bars, while sorting and organizing salvaged materials.
  • Operate jackhammers and tampers as directed by supervisors.
  • Pump water as needed on site.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the construction site.
  • Ensure storage containers are organized and accessible.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Represent Clark Builders professionally and respectfully.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and perform repetitive motions, including bending and kneeling for extended periods.
  • Able to work long hours while completing repetitive tasks.
  • Capacity to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Proficient in operating necessary equipment safely and responsibly.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial or industrial construction is advantageous.
  • A valid First Aid certificate is a plus.
  • Certifications in ESC Fall Protection, CSTS 2020, and WHMIS 2015 are beneficial.
