Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Mechanic Helper to join our team at Doug Pearson Auto. As a key member of our service department, you will assist our technicians in performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Assist technicians in performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Help to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with vehicles, including engine problems and transmission issues.
  • Perform tasks such as moving tools and equipment, and assisting other workers as directed.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a noisy, dusty, and hot environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a regular 36-44 hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, with a high level of attention to detail required.
