About the Role

Kleinschmidt is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer/Project Manager to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing people, projects, and client relationships. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of large, multi-discipline, complex projects, working directly with senior leaders to provide practical solutions to complex problems affecting renewable energy, water, and the environment.
  • Establish long-lasting relationships with clients to assist them in solving complex engineering challenges, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team while applying engineering skills from analysis and design through to construction.
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, science) and a minimum of 10 years' experience in structural engineering and project management.
  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer with a strong understanding of engineering principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must possess permanent authorization to work in Canada and be able to acquire authorization to work in the United States.
