Key Responsibilities- Selecting the appropriate insulation materials and equipment for each project, taking into account factors such as climate, building type, and budget.
- Measuring and cutting insulation materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Applying and securing insulation using various methods, including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation techniques.
- Fitting insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs, ensuring a tight seal and optimal performance.
- Installing vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials to protect against moisture and fire hazards.
- Supervising other workers and ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Fabricating and applying removable insulation pads and covers as needed.
- Estimating costs and materials for each project, taking into account factors such as labour costs, material costs, and equipment rental fees.
- Assembling, erecting, and dismantling scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment as required.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure that all work is completed according to plan.
- 1-2 years of experience in insulation installation and maintenance.
- Permanent employment with a reputable company.
- English language proficiency as the primary language of communication.
- 30-40 hours of work per week with a regular schedule.
