Perfusion Specialist

Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Perfusionist to join our team at the Royal Columbian Hospital. As a Perfusionist, you will play a critical role in supporting cardiac surgery patients by operating and maintaining extracorporeal equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble and operate extracorporeal equipment, including heart-lung machines and precision blood pumps.
- Monitor and manage hemodynamic pressures, blood gases, and anti-coagulation levels.
- Administer blood products, drugs, and medical gases as directed by Cardiac Anaesthetists and surgeons.
- Carry out various physiological measurements and calculations.
- Maintain accurate, legible records and statistics.
- Graduation from a recognized program in Perfusion Science plus two years' recent related experience.
- Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Society of Cardiovascular Perfusionists (CSCP) and/or American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion Certified.
- Ability to operate related equipment and communicate effectively with others.
