About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Return-to-Work Specialist to join our team at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in helping injured workers return to their jobs safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Return-to-Work Activities: Develop and implement return-to-work plans for cases at risk, ensuring suitable and sustainable outcomes.
  • Coordinate Services: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide customized coordination of services, promoting customer-centric approaches.
  • Provide Expert Advice: Offer guidance on return-to-work principles, disability management, and leading practices to injured workers and their employers.
  • Manage Caseload: Oversee the management of caseloads, ensuring effective documentation and follow-up systems are in place.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree at the undergraduate level with a specialty focus in a relevant field.
  • Experience: One year and six months of prior experience in return-to-work, disability management, vocational rehabilitation, or alternate dispute resolution.
  • Certification: Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) or completion of CDMP certification within the first two years of employment.
