About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Home Childcare Provider at SANA RAHMAN. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children in our care.

Responsibilities
  • Education and Experience: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required, and experience in childcare is an asset.
  • Work Setting: This is a live-in position, and optional accommodation is available at no charge. Please note that this is not a condition of employment.
  • Tasks:
    • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, ensuring the well-being of the children.
    • Prepare and serve nutritious meals that cater to the children's dietary needs.
    • Supervise and care for children, engaging in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
    • Transport children to and from school and to appointments, ensuring their safety and well-being.
    • Tend to the emotional well-being of children, providing a supportive and nurturing environment.
  • Certifications and Training: A CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate are required.
  • Target Audience: This role is suitable for caring for children from toddler to pre-school age (1-3 years) and school age (6-12 years).
  • Security and Safety: A criminal record check is required.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: We offer support for newcomers and refugees, including foreign credential recognition and diversity and cross-cultural training.
  • Support for Indigenous People: We provide mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, as well as cultural competency training and awareness training.
  • Work Terms: This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English is the primary language used in this role.
