Cyber Operations Risk Management Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Cyber Operations Risk Management to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for directing and managing risk-related activities supporting all pillars internationally.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and have accountability for the delivery of the Controls framework.
- Oversee and have accountability for responses to regulatory requests.
- Oversee and have accountability for responses to audit requests.
- Execute effective internal review and challenge to improve quality of submissions.
- Define and provide KPI's to better manage the services that RMO provides to Cyber Operations.
- Manage Cyber Operations Compliance Reporting.
- Work with other GCS Cyber and Risk teams to coordinate security control reviews and assessment, key control reviews and penetration or other testing of the target organization.
- Contribute to/Influence GCS Strategy, roadmaps and overall direction of controls and service as it applies to M&A playbook(s) and enterprise program execution.
- University/College graduate or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and compliance requirements related to cybersecurity.
- Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills with the ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and projects.
- At least 5 years of experience in people management.
- At least 7 years of experience developing, evaluating, or implementing cybersecurity, technology or risk assessment activities in the financial services industry.
- Keen attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving, challenging the status quo, and thinking outside the box.
- Experience responding to and/or participating in regulatory requests and exams.
- Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Able to manage a changing priority environment.
- Possionate about IT Risk Management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders and decision makers at all levels.
- Professional security/risk management certifications, such as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Risk & Information Systems Control (CRISC).
