Located on the University of British Columbia's campus, St. John's Hospice is a community-based facility providing holistic end-of-life care. Our interdisciplinary team works together to provide a supportive environment for patients and their families.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a LPN, you will provide safe and respectful nursing care to patients, conduct assessments, and communicate with the RN/RPN and other members of the care team. You will also administer medications, maintain accurate records, and participate in care planning meetings.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients, including assessments, medication administration, and documentation
  • Communicate with the RN/RPN and other members of the care team to ensure seamless care
  • Participate in care planning meetings to develop individualized care plans
  • Administer medications, including narcotics, according to established procedures
  • Maintain accurate records, including patient charts and medication administration records
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant
  • Current basic cardiac life support certification
