About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our capital projects in the public sector. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects, varying in size and scope, across water and wastewater management facilities, linear infrastructure, educational, municipal, or other institutional buildings, facilities, and healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Represent clients' interests in contractual and technical matters.
  • Lead project teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
  • Chair project meetings, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant documents.

Requirements

  • University or college degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management, quantity surveying, business, or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience.
  • 4-6 years of consulting engineering or municipal project management experience delivering capital projects for public sector clients.
  • Previous exposure to capital planning for infrastructure development.
  • Client-facing experience in the delivery of related projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of design and construction delivery models and associated industry standard contracts.
  • Practical understanding of government planning legislation and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, project management models, and financial management, as well as contract law and relevant legislation.
  • Professional industry credentials, such as PMP, CET, Registered Architect, or other similar industry-recognized designation.
  • A positive attitude and ability to collaborate with local, regional, and remote teams.
  • A strong sense of community and involvement in local community boards and associations.
