Job Title: Senior Solutions Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Architect to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our technology organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our digital transformation initiatives.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in software architecture, microservices design, and event-driven architecture to drive business growth and innovation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement software architecture solutions that meet business requirements and technical standards
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards to ensure consistency and quality
  • Provide technical guidance and support to teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of IT experience with a strong background in software architecture and design
  • Proven track record of building and delivering complex software solutions
  • Strong understanding of frontend development, microservices design patterns, and event-driven architecture
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders
