Housekeeper (Diavik) Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at the Diavik Diamond mine. As a key member of our Bouwa Whee Service Team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional cleaning and maintenance services to our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Housekeeper in preparing weekly orders for cleaning supplies and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure that all areas are clean and safe for our guests.
  • Participate in daily Housekeeping Toolbox and PASS meetings to stay informed and aligned with team goals.
  • Review and confirm daily room allocations and special requests with the Head Housekeeper.
  • Clean and maintain rooms, washrooms, hallways, laundry facilities, and lounges to the highest standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of experience in housekeeping or janitorial services.
  • Current WHMIS and First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ability to follow safe work procedures.
  • Proven team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow checklists.
  • Proven punctuality and a pleasant demeanor.
