Financial Analyst Job Description

Homewood Health is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the organization's financial decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform data analysis and reporting to inform business decisions
  • Participate in the period-end close process, including journaling transactions and account reconciliations
  • Prepare financial statements and monthly departmental variance reports
  • Provide exceptional customer service and accounting expertise to cross-functional areas
  • Assist with the year-end external audit process and prepare relevant working papers
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency
Requirements:
  • Two plus years of relevant accounting and financial analysis experience
  • Superior Excel skills for advanced data manipulation and analysis
  • University degree or College diploma in a related field
  • Completion of, or close to completing, an accounting designation (CPA, CMA, ACCA, etc.)
  • Experience with AS400, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or Sage is considered an asset
