Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Prepare, pre-cook, and cook food products as directed, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish.
- Mise en Place: Prepare ingredients and products for high-volume production, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean kitchen equipment and maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Label, date, store, and rotate food and beverage products in designated storage areas, ensuring accurate inventory levels.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with operational departments to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Reporting: Report any maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
Requirements:
- Culinary Experience: Proven cooking experience, including experience as a restaurant cook or prep cook.
- Certifications: Food Safety Certification required.
- Education: Certificate from a recognized cooking school.
- Skills: Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures; accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks; familiarity with industry best practices; ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent written and verbal communication skills; physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
