Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Quality Assurance Tester to join our team at MRM. As a Junior Quality Assurance Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Document Defects: Identify and document defects in our software applications using a bug tracking system, and report them to software developers and project managers.
  2. Test System Modifications: Test system modifications to prepare for implementation and ensure they meet our quality standards.
  3. Problem Analysis: Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
  4. Bug Resolution: Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes to ensure timely resolution.
  5. Project Management: Assist in managing priority jobs with the larger team and ensure timely completion of projects.
  6. Database Management: Create or maintain databases of known test defects to ensure efficient testing.
  7. Test Planning: Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
  8. Product Design Review: Participate in product design reviews, providing input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
  9. Software Documentation: Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
  10. Occasional Support: Provide occasional after-hours and weekend support for product launches and other campaigns.
Requirements:
  1. Education: University degree or College diploma with 1 year working in an agency setting.
  2. Business Acumen: Possess the ability to learn business functions of the organization and use that information to create software test plans.
  3. Analytical Skills: Be able to independently analyze extensive data, identify discrepancies and inconsistencies, and recommend a course of corrective action.
  4. Problem-Solving Skills: Possess strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  5. Technical Skills: Ability to learn and become familiar with the company's development and QA environments and infrastructure.
  6. Testing Skills: Ability to design, write, test, and document efficient testing solutions to meet customer needs.
  7. Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  8. Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS a plus.
  9. Software Testing Tools: Experience with software testing tools a plus.
