About the Role

We are seeking an experienced tailor to join our team at Med Tropicals Limited. As a tailor, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, made-to-measure garments for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and create custom garments according to customer specifications
  • Fit, alter, and repair garments as needed
  • Lay out, cut, sew, and press materials to create hats and other accessories
  • Operate sewing machines or sew by hand
  • Select and modify commercial patterns to fit customer specifications
  • Design patterns to fit measurements
  • Mark, cut, and sew fabric
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in tailoring or a related field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with a variety of fabrics, including cotton, synthetic, fur, and leather
  • Knowledge of commercial patterns and design software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
