Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a culinary environment
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals and individual dishes.
  • Conduct inspections of kitchen and food service areas to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
  • Manage inventory by ordering necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and work areas.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Assist newcomers and/or refugees with recognition of foreign credentials.
  • Facilitate diversity and cross-cultural training to foster an inclusive work environment.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Provide mentorship and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Deliver cultural competency training to all staff to enhance workplace inclusivity.
