Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive estimates for labor and material costs.
  • Generate and present detailed estimate reports, quotation sheets, and bidding documents.
  • Provide guidance on tendering processes.
  • Evaluate tenders and make award recommendations.
  • Oversee and modify contract expenditures as necessary.
  • Maintain an organized directory of suppliers and trade contractors.
  • Engage in communication with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors regarding modifications to cost estimates.
Certifications and Memberships
  • Membership in the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors is preferred.
Special Skills and Experience
  • Possess specialized knowledge and skills in environmental considerations.
Work Environment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
