About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our team at Robin's Auto Parts Ltd. as a Merchandise Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for arranging product according to planograms, establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers, and overseeing the distribution of merchandise to outlets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Management
    • Arrange product according to planogram to ensure optimal display and sales
    • Review requirements of the establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase
  • Supplier Management
    • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements
    • Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demand
    • Oversee the distribution of merchandise to outlets
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Requirements
  • Education
    • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent
  • Work Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
    • Attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Knowledge of database software, planogram software, and spreadsheet software
