Safeway is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare, process, and compound prescriptions under the indirect supervision of a pharmacist.
- Receive and transcribe verbal prescriptions from practitioners, ensuring accuracy and authenticity.
- Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies, maintaining accurate records.
- Perform final checks on prepared prescriptions and ensure accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records.
- Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Above average oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Sobeys National Pharmacy Group Computer systems preferred.
- Relevant post-secondary education preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
