Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Design and Development: Design and develop software for various prototype and serial production UAV systems, ensuring robustness and performance targets are achieved.
  • Embedded Software Development: Develop and optimize real-time embedded software for UAV systems, collaborating with stakeholders to identify and troubleshoot software issues.
  • Software Verification and Validation: Conduct software verification and validation activities to ensure software meets requirements and is free from defects.
  • Software Architecture and Design: Support the development of new software architecture and produce detailed design documentation.
  • Software Maintenance: Maintain existing software products and ensure they are up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of a Software, Computer, or relevant engineering program.
  • Programming Skills: Experienced with C/C++, Python, and versioning control software such as Git.
  • Operating System Skills: Proficient with Windows or Linux/POSIX operating systems.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledgeable with socket programming, multi-threading, and IPC mechanisms; experience with QT platform and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design considered an asset.
  • Soft Skills: Must work well in a team and independent environment, proficient with Microsoft office programs, and hold a Class 5 Drivers License.
  • Security Clearance: Able to receive government reliability security clearance.
