About the Opportunity

Outlier is seeking talented writers with fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models. This freelance opportunity is remote and flexible, allowing you to work at your own pace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and rank English text produced by AI models
  • Write and rewrite prompts and responses, involving research and fact-checking
  • Assess the factuality and relevance of text produced by AI models
Desirable Expertise
  • Experience as a professional writer or editor
  • Currently enrolled in or completed an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at a selective institution
  • Strong sense of writing style paired with exceptional English-language spelling and grammar as well as logic and reasoning skills
Payment

Pay rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project need, and other factors. For example, higher rates may be offered to Ph.D.s. Certain projects offer incentive payments.
