About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at FGF Brands. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the overall well-being of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety best practices
- Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with operations leaders to develop and implement safety initiatives
- Manage workers' compensation claims and modified return-to-work programs
- Develop and maintain accurate records of health and safety activities and incidents
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a health and safety role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to foster a health and safety culture
- Manufacturing experience required
- Valid driver's license and vehicle
