Key Responsibilities

Identifies and comprehends critical components and processes essential for flight/product safety. Required to promptly report any concerns regarding flight/product safety. Engages in proactive risk assessment related to critical flight/product safety components and processes. Understands and adheres to the Just Culture policy.

Core Duties

Formulates, prepares, and blends solutions or coatings based on specified formulas and creates detailed spray recipes and sequences. Develops, documents, tests, and manages programs for robotic systems as necessary. Operates blasting machinery to clean and prepare surfaces of materials and components. Prepares and masks components using fixtures, rubber, tape, and other materials prior to coating application. Configures and operates various manual, semi-automatic, and/or robotic spray systems for applying coatings. Adjusts bake/cure oven settings to achieve proper temperatures and logs processing times. Removes masking, cleans overspray, and washes components post-coating. Conducts visual inspections of surfaces for defects and compliance with specifications using precision measuring tools prior to and following coating application. Maintains and cleans spray/coating equipment, fixtures, and blast cabinets. Contributes to the continuous enhancement of cell processes. Trains in additional complementary skills and seeks endorsements as necessary to meet production needs. Adapts to various production roles requiring multiple skill endorsements to support operational demands. Assists in the training of fellow technicians as required to meet production needs. Committed to observing all relevant safety protocols and promptly reporting any unsafe practices or conditions. Performs other assigned duties as necessary.

Technical Qualifications

Achievement of relevant internal process certifications. Proficient in utilizing precision measurement instruments. Capable of reading, interpreting, and understanding blueprints. Familiarity with company protocols, processes, rework instructions, manufacturer manuals, and safety data sheets. Knowledgeable in production management systems and related internal control mechanisms. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted for approximately 25% of the workday. Regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods.
